WHERE IS LAKE HIGHLANDS?

Represented on the Dallas City Council by Adam McGough , Lake Highlands is located in the northeast portion of the DFW Metroplex, and is sometimes considered to be a part of North Dallas. Lake Highlands is not an official subdivision; however, the Dallas Morning News refers to City Council District 10 as “The Lake Highlands District.” The area commonly referred to as Lake Highlands lies north of Northwest Highway and White Rock Lake, east of White Rock Creek or Central Expressway, to the border of Richardson, and Garland on the north and east. Lake Highlands includes some areas of Dallas north of IH-635. Lake Highlands is surrounded by Lakewood, Lochwood, North Dallas, Preston Hollow, the City of Garland, & The City of Richardson.
